回复 :大律师丁如山(秦沛)在司法界多年，一直抱着维持公义的信念去处理每一场官司，在业界享有崇高的地位。对后辈，山从不吝惜，获他提携的新人不少，刘恺(陈慧珊)是其中一位幸运儿。恺获委派协助山处理一宗案件，对头律师恰巧是她的前男友陈琛贤(马德钟)。上庭当日，山突然晕倒，原来他患了柏金逊病。山表面上表现得积极乐观，心底里却认定失去活动能力等于失去了尊严。他纵无奈，亦不得不将案件放手让恺负责，自己则从旁指导。山与恺亦师亦友的感情一日浓于一日，山的病情却一天差过一天。恺全情投入案件中，山看出她其实是想向贤证明自己的能力。恺突然醒悟，明白到人不须为战胜他人而活，于是下定决心重整生命。恺的生命因山而改变，给病折磨得快要崩溃的山却有放弃生命的念头。恺决不让恩师就此败下阵来，决心以打胜官司来鼓励他，让他知道只要一息尚存，人生总还有希望，绝不能轻言放弃……

回复 :故事從夜晚的某條小街展開。陰郁的狀況，背景為爵士樂。然後拉到一個叫stardust的娛樂場所，常駐樂隊如往常一樣在演奏。。。鏡頭在cabaret裡面轉了一圈，定在了遠處某桌的一對男女身上。女人衣著光鮮，似乎是職業夜總會女郎；男人帶著厚大的墨鏡，面無表情地欣賞著薩克斯。。。。。。。
