回复 :故事发生在1947年的天津卫。郑心凌（路晨 饰）是富商之女，平日里衣食无忧，过着公主般的生活，怎奈天有不测风云，母亲突遇车祸身亡，心凌深受打击，不久竟患上抑郁症。宁雅（冯波 饰）是一名留洋归国的心理医生，他问诊后把心凌带到一处幽静山庄进行治疗。入住山庄后，心凌发现了一本看似普通的日记本，但当她翻看内容后，一连串诡异的现象接踵而至，先是有人离奇死亡，后来每到午夜时分，山庄便响起鬼魅魉魑的恐怖音乐，渗血的人体标本也随之出现。紧接着，更怪异的现象出现了，那是一个停电的夜晚......

回复 :改编自作家森村诚一的同名推理小说，此书1976年出版 隔年已故演员松田优作和女演员冈田茉莉子合演的电影版版大卖座，2004年也曾由竹野内丰和夏川结衣拍摄为连续剧版，但将剧中时代改为现代。此次重拍的特别剧版将维持原著70年代的设定，故事的舞台为1974年的东京，叙述知名美容家(原作和电影版为时装设计师)八杉恭子(铃木京香)举办宴会的饭店电梯内，一名被以短刀刺杀的黑人青年死亡。死前仅留下了一句不知意思为何的「斯托哈」，警视厅刑警栋居弘一良(藤原)和其团队对此案展开调查。

Director Freddie Francis had made horrors for both Hammer and Amicus but this is nothing like any of them. Shot on location with an atmosphere mixing playground horror and conservatory theatre that is downright weird and unsettling. The great lost girl of sixties British horror, Vanessa Howard, shines as she does in those other rarely seen gems Corruption [1967] and What Became of Jack and Jill [1972]. If Harold Pinter had made The Texas Chain Saw Massacre [1974] for the BBC this could have resulted. Excellent and unique.
