春季的高中排球宫城县预选中，神马在一番激斗后取胜，神马终于实现在全国大赛中出场这一夙愿的乌野高中排球部。就在他们为全国大赛做准备的时候，传来了影山受到全日本青年强化合宿召集的消息。而月岛也受到宫城县一年级选拔强化合宿的召集。同为一年级，对于差距感到不安的日向，擅自前去参加宫城县一年级选拔强化合宿，但……！？以全国大赛正赛为目标，日向、影山以及乌野高中排球部开始了更加艰巨的挑战——！！
