肥猫（郑则仕 饰）在妈妈（鲍起静 饰）撤手人寰后，天堂遵照遗嘱去寻找早年被母亲遗弃的弟妹，天堂茫茫人海，寻亲之路如大海捞针一般。几经寻览，他找到了己经是某医院副院长的二弟华世杰（关礼杰 饰），华仔自视清高，对突然造访的大哥产生本能的提防之心。他拒绝与大哥相认，但肥猫天性的忠厚憨直令华仔原本冷冰冰的家凭添了几分温暖。华仔平日里因自恃才高，家庭关系处理的相当糟糕，肥猫则成了化解矛盾的润滑剂。随后，他又找到了已成律师的三妹高婉容（李可妮 饰），婉容也和二哥一样，一开始摆出拒绝态度，到是小女儿烟儿（刘梦珂 饰）对这个突然出现的舅舅产生了莫名的好感......
