1980年，亚洲香港对偷渡客实施即捕即解政策，亚洲但另一方面，自大陆偷渡的潮流仍然不停，这也催生出香部分帮派绑架人蛇向其亲属勒索的“打蛇”行业。 阿荃（雁红 饰）同丈夫、弟弟大种三人为寻找“钻石山”偷渡抵港，虽幸运躲过警方在海滩上的围捕，却落入打蛇团伙之手。打蛇团伙头领鹤爷（詹森 饰）手段毒辣，为抢得人蛇不惜率众攻击其他团伙，先后将三人与其他二十多名人蛇掳至据点看押，鹤爷与手下残酷虐待凌辱众人蛇，并将没有勒索价值的人蛇贩卖。大种难耐打蛇团伙凌辱，与对方抵命，人蛇们顺势施计出逃成功，阿荃丈夫在众人被警方抓获时不顾一切奔往钻石山，但等待着他的是深深的幻灭……
