回复 :这是一部平民的史诗，一幅人性光辉的画卷。70年代中期，公园园艺师傅赵方圆靠自己一个人的工资养活着一家七口人，日子虽然清贫，但也其乐融融，自从当知青的大儿子赵家仁从农村救回一个准备自杀的北京姑娘那红之后，这个大家庭被掀起了轩然大波，为了保护那红，赵方圆不得不把受父亲嘱托替叶家保存的古画抵押给了造反派彭世忠，但阴差阳错之下，这笔抵押款像雪球般越滚越大，为了赎回这幅古画，赵方圆带着全家老小省吃俭用，一点点偿还着这笔飞来的债务，然而，此时赵家面临却还不仅仅是经济上的困顿：老二赵家慧对出身不好的欧阳林生一见倾心，自作主张跟大哥赵家仁对调去了乡下当知青；老三赵家信跟叶家的老二叶之火比赛游泳，结果叶之火却不幸溺亡；老四赵家义带着妹妹赵家好出去玩，却丢失了妹妹，家慧淋雨生病，不幸双耳失聪，一连串的变故，让老赵应接不暇，但他和老伴唐妙香却用自己平和而朴素的心温暖着一家人，赵家经历了改革开放的80年代，又走过了经济起飞的90年代，跨进了新世纪的第一个十年，几十年间风风雨雨，赵方圆心头始终放不下那幅受叶家托付而保存的古画，全家人齐心协力终于使得这幅几经流离的古画完整地物归原主。
