香港特警队督察蓝朗（方中信饰）在侦察一宗重大罪案期间，布加冒死前去营救被黑社会绑架的女友（蒙嘉慧饰），布加却反遭陷害，被迫停职退出警界。朗只好在海边开设小餐厅，希望过平静的生活。可是黑社会势力并没有放过他。十年後，从澳洲回港的年轻人阿孝（陈宇琛饰）来到海鲜酒家工作，其父当年被蓝朗误杀，而阿孝正要来查明真凶。

In turn-of-the-century San Francisco, young Katrina Hansen chronicles episodes of life with her extended family, who combine traditional Norwegian values with "modern" American ways. So successful that it became a popular radio show, and then a TV sitcom, both with Barbara BelGeddes and Irene Dunne from the film.
