唐伯虎（张家辉）、视频文征明（林家栋 饰）和祝枝山（欧阳震华 饰）是苏州出名的三大才子，视频这天在南北才艺夺锦大赛中，他们代表江南六艺会馆出赛，结果大胜江北七星会馆。建宁王的义子子建见三人都是不可多得的人才，想招致帐下为己所用。贪财的枝山顺口答应，但伯虎和征明深知子建为人，拒绝了他的邀请。枝山答应后又后悔了，想开溜避开子建，不料反被子建捉个正着，幸好伯虎和征明及时赶到，不仅救回枝山，更赢了子建很多银子。从此子建与他们势不两立。王文宾（魏骏杰 饰）自小便有过目不忘的本领，更是学富五俥，为了扬名立万，文宾向子建自荐。子建正在寻找能人异士打败三大才子出一口怨气，于是文宾成座上客。一番恶斗又开始了！
