大学生蒋苗因为失恋要自杀被一名叫阮晴的学姐救下并获得了三次穿越到过去的机会，午夜在这三次回到过去的穿越中，午夜逐渐看清楚自己喜欢的学长欧阳洛是一个渣男，并从失恋的阴影中走出。但是真相却远不止如此，蒋苗逐渐发现原来学姐阮晴和欧阳洛才是真正的情侣，并且阮晴在三年前已经去世！欧阳洛为了让心爱的人能够继续留在身边，和死神做交易，答应帮死神收集别人的“悔意”，来维持阮晴的“生命”，而蒋苗的失恋不过是欧阳洛最近收集的一份“悔意”而已。
