在宇宙深处，烈火邪恶的黑魔王复活了。为了完成称霸宇宙的邪恶欲望，烈火黑魔王派出爪牙小黑怪，四处收集一种称为“精神之光”的能量，将魔爪伸向了地球。小黑怪无意中吸取了文字的源头-石壁绘画的精神之光，导致整个中华文明的文字发展停滞，正常的时间流逐渐崩溃。星猫和12星座战士为了让历史的时间流回归正常，再次穿越到了古代，围绕中国的文字书法展开了神奇的冒险。
