小绿是日台混血，亚洲想成为寿司师傅。日本没有女生可以做寿司的传统，亚洲所以她来台寻找亡母口中在做寿司师傅的父亲，希望他可以亲自教导自己。来到台湾后，才发现父亲和她母亲所说的不同。父亲因过失杀人的过错出狱，却逃避和小绿见面，让小绿几乎要放弃自己的梦想。小绿遇到了敬之，一个癌末的寿司学徒，敬之打破不收女生的传统，在自己来日不多的时间把技艺都教授予她，使得小绿可以继续坚持理想。而敬之在生命所剩的时间，只希望为他所暗恋的客人亲手做一顿料理，但他必须通过师傅爷爷艰难的考试。小绿为了完成敬之的梦，从放弃寿司到变成积极学会敬之的一切技巧，同时间把自己对敬之的爱藏起来，只为了协助他通过考试，站到寿司台前，让他可以亲自做寿司给她心爱的人。
